The 1994 1st Years Are Alright

So the Pep Band is doing something it generally does, namely throwing it's annual Toga Bash at the Pep Band House on 14th Street. Most of us have done this before (a lot), but apparently no one told the 1st Years this had to be dull.

Spectators at the Trombone Section Pre-Toga Affair in Monroe Hill College witnessed the following:

Roughly 35 Pep Band 1st Years (that would be most of them) marching across the footbridge from the Ed School into Central Grounds. All of them in togas (needless to say). All of them chanting "Toga! Toga! Toga!" for all they were worth, a la _Animal House_. And the whole group being led by none other than our newly inducted bagpipe player, Roy "The Tartan Ranger" Stephan, who was out front lustily tootling away on that singular wheezing instrument, looking and sounding like nothing so much as the Pied Piper on assignment in Hell.

It really was enough to warm your heart.
